She is in awe of her beauty as she looks at herself in the mirror. She looks like a goddess but to herself she wished to be brown, she was a black, black beauty. Her beauty outshined all-stars but to her an ogre she was. She sighed her melanin keeping her in the dark. A rose in the dark.
She liked to stay indoors but on a bright cool and sunny day she would wear a sundress and strut with her long legs and the boys would whistle and send her remarks. "EISH!, A GIRL TOTO!" but she would keep her pace but she couldn't outrun Omoge who has been dying to talk to her since they locked eyes a while ago, a Queen to his kingdom , atleast in Omoge's dreams. "Hi, Beautiful." Out of breath, Omoge starts the conversation "Beautiful?" Sneers Miss Imperfect "You are the most beautiful being I have come across. I presume angels are even scared to compete with you." Omoge smiles. He had caught her attention but all the while she was still in doubt of her beauty, none of the compliments could ever make her think that she is anything but the girl she always saw in the mirror. This is not the first time she is being flattered. Her phone chimes with notifications from Instagram , her pictures collecting over a thousand likes and the comments, wild, dudes sliding in her dm's asking for more pictures but none of that fazed her like the thought she always had, what if I was brown? Self-acceptance was at the back of of her mind but only time would tell. Why can't we be content with anything? I say blame it on Eve. If it were not for her we would be walking around naked and not physically naked but emotionally naked too. Don't be a naughty sly fox! I see you! But I understand because accepting who you truly look like and embracing your true you has never been easy peazy lemon squeezy. If it's not a hassle, pretty pretty please don't you ever think that you are less than perfect! And for the MRs' out there wondering why one day ladies love men with one preference and the other day they have changed the preference. Leo wanataka mwenye ana gari kubwa alafu kesho anataka ule wa mjei ' You can never be enough for anyone but yourself. OR you can always try your luck like Mr Omoge And incase you forget to tell yourself I LOVE YOU BYTHEWAY!
